AI Services & Educational Disclaimer

Vrenberg incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies into several Platform features, including but not limited to:

• AI Tutor: A conversational AI assistant that provides explanations, answers questions, and offers guidance on CFA Level I curriculum topics. The AI tutor generates responses using large language model technology provided by OpenAI.
• Adaptive Learning System: Algorithms that analyze your practice performance and adjust question difficulty and topic distribution to optimize your study sessions.
• Readiness Assessment: Systems that process your performance data across multiple dimensions to generate a composite readiness indicator for exam preparation.
• Performance Recovery: Systems that identify knowledge gaps from incorrect responses and generate targeted review sequences.
• Analytics: Data processing and visualization systems that analyze your practice patterns and provide performance insights.

AI-generated content on the Vrenberg platform is produced by machine learning models and is inherently probabilistic in nature. It is not reviewed, verified, or approved by human subject matter experts before delivery to you.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may contain factual errors, outdated information, misinterpretations, logical inconsistencies, or omissions.
• The AI tutor does not have access to the current CFA curriculum in real time and may reference outdated exam content, deprecated formulas, or superseded standards.
• AI-generated explanations represent one possible interpretation and may not reflect the interpretation favored by CFA Institute or tested on the actual examination.
• The quality and accuracy of AI responses may vary significantly depending on the complexity of the topic, the specificity of your question, and inherent limitations of the underlying model.
• AI responses are generated anew for each interaction and may produce different answers to the same question when asked at different times.

You are solely responsible for independently verifying all AI-generated content against official CFA Institute curriculum materials, textbooks, and authoritative sources before relying on it for exam preparation.

All content on the Platform, including AI-generated responses, practice questions, explanations, and educational materials, is provided solely for educational and informational purposes. Nothing on the Platform constitutes:

• Professional financial advice, investment advice, or investment recommendations.
• Legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory advice.
• An authoritative or official interpretation of CFA curriculum materials, CFA Institute standards, or the CFA Code of Ethics.

Vrenberg does not guarantee, predict, or imply any particular outcome on the CFA Level I examination or any other professional certification examination.

Specifically:

• Readiness Scores are proprietary internal metrics designed to help you gauge your preparation progress relative to the Platform's assessment framework. They do not predict, correlate with, or guarantee any particular exam score or pass/fail outcome. The CFA examination uses its own independent scoring methodology over which Vrenberg has no insight or influence.
• Mock Exam Scores reflect your performance on Vrenberg-authored practice materials. They are not calibrated to CFA Institute exam difficulty, scoring curves, or passing thresholds. A high mock exam score on Vrenberg does not indicate a likelihood of passing the actual CFA examination.
• Analytics and Performance Metrics are based on your activity within the Platform and should be used as internal preparation benchmarks only. They do not constitute an external validation of your exam readiness.
• AI Tutor Assessments of your understanding are based on conversational analysis and should not be interpreted as a reliable measure of your knowledge or exam preparedness.

Exam outcomes depend on numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's total preparation effort, prior knowledge, exam-day conditions, health and mental state, and the specific content and difficulty of the exam administered. Vrenberg disclaims all responsibility for exam outcomes.

Vrenberg is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by, or in any way officially connected with CFA Institute.

Vrenberg's practice questions, mock examinations, explanations, and all other educational content are independently authored and do not reproduce, derive from, or represent CFA Institute examination materials. The CFA Level I curriculum, exam content, grading criteria, and passing standards are determined solely by CFA Institute.

Candidates should always consult the official CFA Institute website and curriculum materials as the primary and authoritative source for exam preparation.

When you use AI-powered features, your interactions are processed as follows:

• Data Transmission: Messages you send to the AI tutor are transmitted to third-party AI service providers (currently OpenAI) for processing. These messages may include the content of your questions, your performance context, and related educational data necessary to generate a relevant response.
• Data Retention: Your AI tutor conversations are stored on the Platform to enable conversation history and continuity. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.
• Model Improvement: Aggregated and anonymized interaction data may be used to improve Platform features and AI system quality. Third-party AI providers process data according to their own policies and agreements.
• Content Filtering: AI-generated responses pass through content filtering systems designed to prevent harmful, inappropriate, or off-topic outputs. These filters are not infallible, and we cannot guarantee that all AI outputs will be appropriate or relevant.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential data, proprietary business information, or information about third parties to the AI tutor. The AI tutor is designed for CFA Level I exam preparation discussions only.

AI systems used on the Platform are subject to the following known limitations:

• Hallucination: AI models may generate plausible-sounding but factually incorrect information, including fabricated formulas, invented standards, or false citations.
• Knowledge Cutoff: The underlying language models have a knowledge cutoff date and may not reflect the most recent CFA curriculum changes, market developments, or regulatory updates.
• Confidence Miscalibration: AI systems may express high confidence in incorrect answers. The tone or phrasing of an AI response does not indicate the accuracy of its content.
• Context Limitations: AI responses are based on the conversation context and may lose track of earlier messages, misinterpret your intent, or fail to carry forward relevant information across a long conversation.
• Mathematical Errors: AI models may make errors in numerical calculations, formula application, or quantitative reasoning despite appearing to show correct work.
• Bias: AI-generated content may reflect biases present in its training data. These biases may affect explanations, examples, or framing of financial concepts.

Vrenberg continuously works to improve AI quality and accuracy but cannot eliminate these inherent limitations. Users should always exercise critical judgment when reviewing AI-generated content.

The Platform is designed as a supplementary preparation tool for the CFA Level I examination. It is not a comprehensive or self-sufficient study program. Effective CFA exam preparation typically requires:

• Thorough study of the official CFA Institute curriculum materials.
• Consistent and sustained study effort over an extended period.
• Practice across multiple sources and formats.
• Understanding of real-world applications of financial concepts beyond what any single platform can provide.

Vrenberg is one component of a broader preparation strategy. Reliance on any single preparation resource to the exclusion of others is not recommended. Users should develop a comprehensive study plan that incorporates official curriculum materials, multiple practice sources, and, where appropriate, professional instruction.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vrenberg shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content, including but not limited to damages resulting from: incorrect information provided by the AI tutor; reliance on AI-generated study recommendations; decisions made based on readiness scores, analytics, or performance metrics; or any other AI-generated output.

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and regardless of whether Vrenberg has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The aggregate liability limitations set forth in our Terms of Service apply equally to claims arising from AI-powered features.

We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, may notify you by email. Your continued use of AI-powered features after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised disclaimer.
