How the planner works
The Vrenberg CFA® Level I Study Planner takes two inputs — your exam date and your weekly available study hours — and returns an honest topic allocation built directly on the official 2026 CFA Institute exam weights.
Ethics & Professional Standards is the single largest topic at 15–20% of the exam, and CFA Institute has indicated that Ethics can decide borderline pass/fail outcomes. Financial Statement Analysis, Equity Investments, and Fixed Income each pull 11–14%. The planner allocates your hours by the midpoint of each topic's official weight range so the time you spend reflects the importance of the material on test day.
